After years of planning, Perfect Praise, Inc. is incorporating the guitar into our training for the young child.
In the typical lesson world, guitar training begins at age 8 or 9, with some students still not ready at that time. By incorporating the elements of our fun, Early Childhood Music program, we are able to teach the very youngest students to worship with the guitar.
Under the direction of Mr. Michael Riggs, Perfect Praise's Guitar Worship Course (WGC) is age-specific, fun and successful. Students will be guided into becoming a musician who uses their talents to honor God.
Two class types are booking right now:
- Guitar for Kids: Ages 7-8 for absolute music beginners. Children must be beginners, having not studied music before. Classes will meet for 55 minutes each week in a 4 month session. Parents are asked to attend classes for this level. Class time will include singing activities (training the singing ear), rhythm instruments, fun, and practice charts.
- Guitar Worship: Ages 8 and up for graduates of our Early Childhood Music Kids 'n Keys classes, or beginner students ages 9 and above. Parents may or may not attend with their child. Students will be guided into reading by chord charts and lead sheets.
Guitar Course Format:
- The program consists of class guitar for up to 8 students.
- Start dates is set when class is booked.
- This class is progressive, so that once the curriculum has begun, new students may not join.
- Transfer students are accepted into Worship Guitar Course. Call the office for an evaluation appointment.
- Singing is incorporated throughout this program, creating a circle of learning and enhanced ear training.
- When your child plays and sings, no other activity that they may be involved in have a greater brain function enhancement. A piano -based program wires a preschooler's brain differently for the rest of his/her life. Guitar also enhances more than a non-musical experience, but not as great as the piano.

Our Fees:
- Application Fee: a $30, non-refundable application fee is due at the time of enrollment. This fee is discounted for the 2nd and 3rd family members to $15.00 per child. Since this fee holds your space, resulting in that others are turned away, it is not refundable for any reason.
- Tuition Fee: Our Worship Guitar Course monthly tuition is $75 per month in a 4 month session. Parents may pay the full session up front or make monthly payments. A Payment Security Form is required.
- Performance Fee: Our Performance Fee varies between $25 and $40 per recital, charged twice each year, the month before each event. All ECM students, age six months and up are charged our Performance Fee, whether you are able to attend our events or not.
- Materials: Our Worship Guitar Course uses the WGC Material Kit. The cost for this kit is $______ plus tax. It includes: a canvas, embroidered book bag, a white board kit (includes marker, eraser and staff white board), an attendance sticker book, a Supplemental Notebook, HomePlay Sheets, Worship Guitar Course Book One, CD and Flashcards.
- Materials also required include: 3/4 size acoustic guitar or ukele, a Metronome and floor music stand. We can help you with these items if you need them.

- Or your may go to Register My Child on this website, complete the application and email it to our office. When we receive your email, we will call you to confirm it with the application fee (Visa, MasterCard or Discover number over the phone.
- Or you may mail a completed application and the $30 Application Fee to our office at 184 E Old Hwy 431 Hampton Cove, 35763.
- We cannot hold you a space in class until one of these steps has been taken.
